Scary Bear Hot Dogs and More is a new food truck business coming to Kalispell, Whitefish, the Flathead Valley and near Glacier National Park in Summer of 2017. The owners of Scary Bear brought their new enclosed trailer to Wrap Hive with one goal in mind, create a Scary Bear character and branding that would be fun, memorable and sell a lot of hot dogs! We were excted to work with the clients on the awesome illustration and design project!

 

The clients explained how they were looking for a comic book style illustration and a scary but fun bear character illustration. We worked with them every step of the way to ensure that this bear character, text and branding was everything that they imagined it to be. Using the client's feedback and requests we custom crafted this Scary Bear to look angry and scary while he smashes two hot dogs in his paws. Throw some ski goggles on him just in case things get messy and this bear is ready to start peddling hot dogs to all of the Glacier National Park tourists this summer. 

 

After the bear design was complete, we dove in to designing a custom comic style word mark for the Scary Bear text. We used a bright yellow and red color scheme to make this bold and graphic style font pop of the trailer. The Scary Bear text works great with the style and energy of the bear character and makes this food trailer a one of a kind piece of art that will for sure bring in a crowd.
